A new product typology

With the increased performance of LEDs, an opportunity emerged to develop portable lighting, initially intended for professionals. Very quickly, the need to adapt these products for the DIY market became apparent, primarily in the American market.

LUTEC was among the first companies to develop this type of product. Thanks to its responsiveness in research and engineering, its first product, PERI, was launched in 2015. It featured a folding tripod that was compact when closed and became the first in a long series incorporating functional variations such as different numbers of heads, battery-powered operation, detachable heads, and more.

Examples include, but are not limited to, the LUTEC PERI, a variant developed for STANLEY, and the most recent version for PORTER-CABLE. All of these products were developed by LUTEC.

Subsequently, many similar products appeared on the market.
