Mood-setting spaces by design

Aupu is a Chinese company specializing in domestic air treatment. Our first contract was for a new bathroom system and in particular the use and distribution of light, air and sound with the possibility to extend into other areas in the home.

All types of lighting, heating, air treatment and sound diffusion were concerned. The concept consisted of a "rail" to fix the different devices and at the same time allowing all the circuits to be made. A second idea consisted of adapting the ceilings with different materials, creating all kinds of atmospheres. The principle being to be able to change them at will… to change the sky.

The study lasted more than a year but, but in conclusion Aupu’s structure was accustomed to developing standard technical products and was not ready to handle this type of operation.

At the same time, we developed individual home air treating products, simple convectors, aromatherapy and body drying mirrors.

The basis of the system is a structural aluminum profile, allowing the passage and distribution of fluids. Different products / functions can be freely connected around the perimeter.

The principle gives free rein to all kinds of personalized expressions, evolving over time.
